The Company
- We are working with a large food manufacturer to find a great Commercial Manager for one of their sites on the Leicestershire area
- They specialise in own label products and branded products
The Role
- Drive sales and profit in line with operating plan budgets.
- Drive our share of the market.
- Be an active member of a business unit (alongside, category manager, technical, product development chef).
- Lead relationship with retailers through effective commercial management through the implementation of a cross functional account plan.
- Prepare and agree category plan through analysis of customer insight, sales and trends.
- Set effective range strategies by format to optimise sales through clear understanding of the category dynamics, shopper motivations to purchase.
- Set effective promotional and marketing plan in line with the total business strategy.
- Drive new customers into the category, through team collaboration of new product development and interpreting market research to form actionable insight.
- Build the agenda for longer term development.
- Drive customer specific efficiency improvements to maintain our competitiveness and ensuring we’re proactive within our customers.
- Provide an accurate forecast of a rolling 52 weeks – managing forward business activity to align resource and deliver on time.
- Negotiate terms of trade: - long term deals, new costs for new products through to cost models.
The Person
- Experience of working within FMCG with major retailer knowledge
- Experience of working within Food & Drink Manufacturing environments
- Skilled with contract negotiations
- Excellent at building rapport and with a strong track record of influencing commercial deals
- Proficient in reviewing and analysing data and using this to inform decisions and plans
- Hold a relevant degree level qualification or equivalent.
