  • Support, develop and implement the UK nutrition strategy for Starbucks

  • Nutritional Information Management - Proactively horizon scan proposed nutrition-related regulatory changes in the UK market. Present business-relevant policy changes to leadership and cross-functional teams

  • Shape and drive the Health & Wellness agenda for Starbucks, tracking nutritional improvements

  • Continuously review the food product offering and initiate changes where relevant 

  • Approve nutrition and allergen customer-facing collaterals across various platforms app, website, menu boards

  • Maintain an awareness of developing technologies and their application to ensure reformulation tactics can be implemented

  • Act as a Company spokesperson for Starbucks on all nutrition issues

  • Serve as primary contact for Public Affairs, Ops and Marketing to contact regarding media queries on nutrition

  • Ensuring company policies are adhered to and the goals/ objectives achieved

Employing over 11,000 colleagues across 16 manufacturing sites within the UK we supply all of the food retailers with everything from Sandwiches, soups and sushi to cooking sauces, pickles and ready meals.



A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to work within Starbucks head office in London as a Company Nutritionist  



This role contributes to deepening our customer relationship with Starbucks, contributing to overall customer success by leveraging nutritional expertise to provide insight, shape innovation and ensure regulatory compliance.



Representing Greencore from within Starbucks head office you will be tasked with establishing one source of truth for all consumer-facing nutrition information in the UK region as well as reviewing opportunities to advance and improve nutritional information within the brand.



Along with extensive cross-functional interaction between the businesses, within this role you will be required to externally engage with key trade associations, governmental agencies, media outlets and other influencers to represent Starbucks and report back on upcoming nutrition issues, trends and changes to legislation.


What we’re looking for

  • To be currently operating within an NPD or Technical team within the Food Manufacturing Industry

  • A degree in Food Science, nutrition or technical discipline  

  • Good food knowledge and passion for food

  • The ability to research, interpret and apply food and beverage regulations in the UK/EU

  • An understanding of how to calculate food and beverage nutritional information

  • Ability to consult with and influence various cross functional teams

  • High level of knowledge in current EU nutrition labelling requirements and the FIC

  • To be a strong team player, able to work on own and use initiative to find solutions

  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical partners concisely

  • Ability to navigate through ambiguous and unstructured situations

  • Ability to analyse information in a structured manner and prepare coherent communication, both internally and externally

  • Have awareness of external nutritional landscape and potential implications to the business

  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Intermediate level experience in MS Office packages, including Excel
