Hovis is looking for a focused and attentive Business Account Manager to join our team and take the lead on one of our largest Top 4 Grocery Accounts. Hovis is one of the UK’s leading food brands and the best performing major bread brand in 2019. Our ambition is to accelerate our growth. We are looking for a bright, confident, results driven account management expert with a passion for food to join our team and take the lead on one of our largest portfolios.
The Business Account Manager role will drive profitable growth and work with the Top 4 customer through a collaborative process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Total management of a top 4 retailer’s account for Hovis with full strategic control and P&L ownership
- Take a strategic role driving the long-term strategy across their food category and regularly negotiate account terms
- Build a strong customer partnership and implement a full category strategy
- Take charge of the supply chain from start to finish, developing the account through your communication and long-term strategic growth agenda.
- Facilitate the available growth and build Branded and Own Label across both Bread and Morning Goods in the retailer (Currently £ 40m GSV Sales)
- Management of field sales activity via 3rd Party – CPM
Essential role related knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience:
- Exceptional branded commercial awareness coupled with a proven track record gained within a progressive FMCG environment
- Understand customer strategy, objectives and desires and find solutions to deliver Win- Win long term partnerships through both selling and end to end efficiency.
- Understanding of revenue management principles: portfolio mix, product mix, base / promotional mix, fixed and variable investment & investment conditionality.
- Demonstrated impressive business & sales achievements
- Strong relationship-building skills and are ready to make an impact on strategy and category plans from day one
- Proven collaborative and influencing skills in a cross functional environment.
- Demonstration of value adding activity
- Demonstration of taking ownership of the agenda and making it happen
- Evidence of courageous, inventive, driven and straightforward behaviours.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentational skills.
- Motivating Cross functional teams
- Strong academic background. Ideally a university degree attained at 2:1 or above
