Would you like to work for a global consumer goods company based in Manchester, this is a category leading organisation who value their people and produce excellent products within the consumer goods market, ranging from personal care to household products. This excellent opportunity will be to part of the senior leadership team to work with internal stake holders across, Marketing, Finance, Brand, Category and Commercial Account Management to drive ROI by using data and insight to drive revenue for the business. Key area of focus within the role are Pricing, Promotions, Distributions Targets and Technology.

A new and exciting role of Senior Commercial Strategy Manager has been created to drive the development and execution of profitable growth across the commercial functions from a Pricing, Promotions and Mix perspective. You will work in a cross functional environment and lead the commercial strategy using insight and data, to create and roll out best practice and repeatable models across the commercial function in order to deliver  ROI revenue improvement targets and initiatives focuses on the full portfolio of brands. You will in a holistic way bringing all internal commercial functions together, focusing on influencing internal stakeholders, on the change management process to drive revenue across sales, marketing and finance. This is a brand new role and you have the ownership to drive ROI using your expertise within Analysing data and insight to drive a commercial agenda to increase profit.

You will lead the commercial strategy and implementation of end to end growth across the functions and supporting in the execution in delivering, promotional plans, NPD planning and commercial reporting. As the Senior Commercial Strategy Manager you will report into the Customer Marketing Director and have an influential role within the senior team to lead change and improvements across the full portfolio of brands working with all commercial functions.

Package Details:

Up to £75,000 basic salary plus car allowance, pension, healthcare and benefits

You will have:

  • Understanding of Sales & Marketing processes
  • Minimum of  8  years relevant working experience, incl. Sales, Finance or Customer Marketing
  • Senior positions held within either, Marketing, Sales, Brand, Category, Commercial, Strategy, and Revenue Management.
  • Experience working within FMCG
  • Proven ability to achieve results in a matrix organisation with cross functional teams
  • Strong Commercial Understanding
  • Strong analytical skills with experience of data led decision making
  • Excellent communication and confident presenting skills, also in matters that are complex and deal with multiple stakeholder interests
