Innovation & Insight Manager

Better Placed are looking to recruit an accomplished marketer or Innovation Manager to lead on all things insight and innovation.

We are looking for a true innovator, with exceptional innovation experience, gained from either an FMCG or consumer focussed industry. This is a newly created position for a hugely successful, well invested business which continues to grow year on year.

This is an exciting role with huge career growth prospects as you will be joining in a period of aggressive company growth fuelled by increasing demand and investment.

Summary of the Innovation Manager role:

If you have a proven track record of delivering strategic & successful NPD through consumer insights, then you will flourish within this forward thinking consumer business.

SNAP SHOT:
  • Driving a constant pipeline of innovation to ensure continued business growth and be responsible for ensuring the right level of focus and attention is given to innovation as a key source of that business growth.
  • Working collaboratively with the brand teams to ensure all innovation is on brand strategy and aligned to brand objectives
  • Developing insight based concepts and validating these through a variety of different research techniques, ensuring investment levels are in line with size of brand
  • Identify where there are gaps in knowledge and recommending ways in which we could enrich our understanding of the category/ consumer
  • Briefing and managing research projects and customer data with external agencies, whilst having the analytical skills and a questioning mind in order to draw conclusions, and put in place projects that meet those needs.
  • Keeping abreast of trends and new insight, attending conferences and exhibitions across Europe and the UK.


Location and Remuneration:

This Innovation & Insight manager position is based in West Yorkshire, commutable from the surrounding areas.

Remuneration for this role is circa £50,000 - £55,000. On top of that a rewarding package is on offer. - Flexi time, team socials and more...
