International Buying Manager (Sourcing & Procurement) - With a Difference
The Role:
- Act as the lead contact for all suppliers of a buying/sourcing and procurement nature
- Own, develop and implement the strategy
- Own and develop the supplier segmentation and relationship strategy, working end to end to deliver against the critical path to optimise profitability and market share
- Ensure commercial teams are working with designated suppliers to improve the service for all internal functions
- Play a pivotal role within the outcome of the project working cross functionally to achieve the business goal with a number of key stakeholders
- Attend relevant trade fairs developing and strengthening relationships to support the business objectives
- Proven customer focus, able to build and sustain long term relationships, always seeking to understand and meet customer needs
- Proven ability to analyse and interpret data to inform business decisions
- Proven communication and influencing skills, up to Board level exposure
- Proven planning and organisation skills to achieve business deadlines and targets
- Embraces change, always looking for ways of improving business performance
- Above all play an active role in the wider business in senior team meetings and strategy workshops, forging close relationships with other senior team members that benefit business objectives
You:
- Previous buying/sourcing and procurement experience with hard line product portfolios from an international perspective
- Proven customer focus, able to build and sustain long term relationships, always seeking to understand and meet customer needs
- Proven ability to analyse and interpret data to inform business decisions
- Proven communication and influencing skills, up to Board level exposure
- Proven planning and organisation skills to achieve business deadlines and targets
- Embraces change, always looking for ways of improving business performance
- Able to work both as a team and independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work cross culturally
