We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Director position in a bluechip FMCG business based at their Ireland head office in Dublin. Reporting directly into the Country Manager for Ireland, with strong links to the UK leadership team, this role will see you develop and lead a sustainable and profitable business across the Irish market.

The Company
This commercial division is a fundamental part of this FMCG organisation and is constantly evolving in line with current trends and market dynamics. The business is a €23 million operation in Ireland is the number one market leader in their [incredibly competitive] category. There are strong challenges from the competition in this category so we are looking for a Commercial Director that is up for this challenge and is keen to stretch themselves! 
This company has a great EVP and is known for it's internal succession planning so it is rare they would hire externally at this level, this really is a role not to be missed as it is unlikley something at this level will open up again.

The Role
As Commercial Director you will be responsible for defining and leading the strategic direction of the Irish business, this will invole developing & implementing a robust business strategy aligned to the UK and EMENA plans to deliver profitable growth. You will play a pivotal role in both the Ireland & UK leadership teams and will have three director reports [Head of Marketing, Head of MS & P and Head of Category] who in turn have a couple of direct reports each. 
You will manage and coach a high performing, engaged team to ensure that you successfully execute your strategy and objectives to drive market share.
Based in Dublin or willing to relocate.

The Candidate
As the Commercial Director you will have a breadth of senior commercial experience with a strong emphasis towards sales and category management. You will have experience of working in an FMCG environment and understand the complexities of operating within a matrix structure. Having fantastic communication skills and understanding how your decisions impact the business strategy for the Irish market is essential. As is the ability to work in an environment that isn’t always black and white, being agile to navigate both yourself and stakeholders to positive solutions. You will thrive when working with senior stakeholders and customers across all levels and in different markets.

The Salary
€100 000 - €115 000 [car allowance included in this amount]. Bonus, bluechip benefits. Relocation allowance can be offered for the right candidate.
