My client is a well-loved known and respected branded global FMCG business based in the South East. The business operates in a truly exciting category and one that from an e-Commerce perspective is set to grow. As a plus £1bn business, they experienced double digit sales growth and double digital top line growth last year and were revered for new product launches.

They are now looking to increase e-Commerce capability and create a real point of difference in the category online with the introduction of this new role. Having strong e-Commerce talent in the local markets, this individual will sit in the Global team and be responsible for driving the commercial strategy, owning major projects and influencing the in-market teams in order to drive executional excellence.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Managing specific e-commerce projects that support the long-term commercial ambitions of global e-Commerce
  • Steering the e-Commerce strategy, ensuring emphasis is placed on areas that will deliver the most value  
  • Supporting markets on e-Retail negotiations including performance-based trading terms & development of global price analysis
  • Developing & prioritising the global Retailer strategy including partnerships
  • Developing central P&L management & channel reporting
  • Building and understanding online promotion effectiveness
  • Using available global market data to build a scorecard of brand evolution online
  • Ensuring investment in the right market data to help drive decisions 
  • Supporting development of the global e-Commerce leadership team 
  • Working with local teams to track performance Vs. target  
  • Building in market capability

In order to be considered for this opportunity you must possess the following skills and experience.

  • Experience of working within a very fast paced e-Commerce role where you have been responsible for setting and driving strategy
  • Extensive e-Commerce trading experience including extensive Amazon trading knowledge
  • Expert level knowledge of Vendor Central & ARAP with a hunger to learn Seller Central
  • Strong commercial skills with expertise in negotiation, JBP’s & understanding of the value chain between Retailers and Brands
  • Strong analytical capability with an ability to evaluate various metrics to understand e-Commerce ROI
  • Experience of managing a P&L and channel reporting
  •
