Job Details
This is territory sales with a merchandising twist - selling great food products to great customers.
This sales role is working for a lovely food distribution business, providing a range of premium and delicious frozen food solutions in to independent retail, farm shops, deli's and garden centres across the UK. One day you could be meeting with a Buyer in head office agreeing a national contract and the next you could be riding on a tractor whilst negotiating a deal for a super-premium farm shop.
This territory sales role will be home based covering a region across Midlands and East Anglia. It is unique in its responsibilities because as well as generating sales and managing existing account relationships, the role will also require hands-on merchandising and working with the retailer to supply and source the best POS equipment. The position is very hands-on but offers great scope for autonomy and ownership because you will treat the role as your own business.
You will:
- Need to be confident in sales in to independent retail - knowledge of garden centres and farm shops would be hugely advantageous.
- Have worked within FMCG - ideally selling food or drink solutions.
- Have a genuine passion for food
- Finally, you will be prepared to roll up your sleeves and have a "can do" attitude.
