The role of Regional Sales Manager:

Home based, you will be covering Yorkshire visiting horticultural trade customers – growers, nurseries and some garden centres, using your sales skills to increase turnover.

Many will be established but under-trading and your brief is to increase volume and ranges through effective fact finding, rapport building and sales presentations.

In a price sensitive market you need to add value to the trading relationship by offering solutions, providing great customer service and negotiating attractive packages that deliver a win:win.

The person for this Regional Sales Manager opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Sales Representative with horticultural qualifications or horticultural retail or field sales experience. Working for a grower or a nursery would also be suitable experience if you have a real desire to move into a field sales role.

The profile we are looking for includes:

  • Living in West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire or the North East
  • Previous experience of horticultural sales
  • Excellent communication skills, sociable personality, good sense of humour
  • Well planned and organised.
  • Highly self motivated and able to work from home
  • Hard working.
  • This is a contact industry where regular customer meetings and building strong working relationships is essential.
