My client is a successful, ambitious and forward-thinking company with an in-house design team that has been supplying trend lead products for the interior market for over 20 years.

Due to growth, a great opportunity has arisen for a proactive, dynamic and charismatic sales professional to join their dedicated and hard-working team. As National Account Manager you will inherit a portfolio of accounts which include Kingfisher & Homebase. As a National Account Manager, you will also be personally responsible for managing and developing the relationship with the National Accounts Trade outlets within the wallpaper and home decoration category. This is an exciting time to join a growing business where you will be able to make an impact and progress further in the organisation.

To be successful for this position you will have experience managing large DIY retailers such as Kingfisher or Homebase. Must have strong new business skills with a proven track record of increasing turnover. Must be a self-starter, ambitious and enthusiastic. The successful candidate will have demonstrable sales and account management experience. You will ideally have a passion for the DIY/home decoration/homewares market, with strong experience of dealing with multiple retailers. You will be able to manage a customer P&L, be an excellent negotiator and a strong team player. The role requires someone who is willing to develop new skills, is versatile and happy to support others in their activities as and when required. To succeed in the role, you must be able to work within a change environment and help to define new processes and ways of working. The successful candidate will thrive on autonomy and enjoy working in fast paced ambitious culture/environment.
