My client is one of Europe’s leading independent manufacturer of sealants, construction foams and adhesives. Their products are used in three principal market segments: construction, industry and DIY/hardware and are sold in more than 130 countries in all continents.
The business is recruiting a Field Sales Manager to manage the field sales team and manage some Key Accounts such as Jewson, TP and Howdens.
Job Role
• Responsible for running a Field Sales Support Team of 6 covering demonstration-, training-, promotion- and sales-support requirements of retail distribution channels – from large national multi-branch accounts to smaller independent merchants.
• Providing support to Retail Key Account Managers and Professional Area Sales Managers to achieve the Company’s sales targets.
• Keep the business informed of up-to-date account, channel and competitor developments.
Key Attributes
• A customer focused professional able to develop strong business relationships, well organised, goal driven with good presentation and listening skills.
• Experience working in a Merchant/Retail sales environment at branch and regional level.
• Able to motivate a team and to lead it by example, spending the majority of his/her time on the road.
• Excellent communication skills and commercially astute.
• IT proficient: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, QlikView, CRM, etc.
• A proven track record of working autonomously whilst making a strong contribution to a team.
• Experience in selling sealants, adhesives and PU foam is preferred but not essential as training is provided.
