The Company

Our client is a well-invested, European-based chilled foods business producing high quality, added-value products for all of the leading UK Grocery retailers. This dynamic and successful business with an entrepreneurial and professional culture has grown through both acquisition and substantial dual-product category sales growth, resulting in a category leadership position.

They are now looking to further invest in their future growth strategy through 2020 with the opening of a new state-of-the-art, UK-based factory and by further strengthening their customer facing management team with the appointment of a National Account Manager… exciting times ahead!

The Role

You will directly manage a selection of the Grocery retail accounts across both brand and own-label products including: All customer terms and promotional negotiations, P&L management, JBP control and future product innovation project management, as well as working cross functionally with all internal and external stakeholders.

This is a hands-on role which will pitch you at the heartbeat of this collaborative business. You will be working as part of ‘the team’ where you will be required to lead, support and manage the customer commercial agenda to ensure that both the broader business and your own profitable sales growth objectives are achieved.

The Candidate

Having been well trained you have developed your FMCG commercial career up to NAE or NAM level within a recognised food company (ideally to include own-label products). With experience of working with, or directly managing any of the major grocery multiples or convenience retailer accounts, you are now looking to take on a ‘bigger fish’ NAM role.

You have a sound understanding of using category-based insight data to build effective customer lead strategies and are familiar with modern JBP process and management controls. You know how to work effectively with your customers to achieve mutual profitable sales growth.
