About the Role
This role will play a pivotal part of the clients estate offering to help drive savings and commercial performance across their customers. You will utilise you experience in hospitality equipment and fixtures and fittings to help deliver an ultra-competitive range of stores that customers and end-users will love. You will be able to distinguish what quality products are, be able to negotiate the best prices and build long term relationships with suppliers. This role is all about delivering commercial results for customers by buying using the best possible practices and procedures. You will work closely with internal teams in supply chain, quality, product and the like to deliver the best possible products and service to customers. You will be able to create and drive a strategy for the category and be able to lead a team to ensure the continued success of the category buying team.

The Ideal Candidate
As the ideal candidate, you will have strong commercial buying experience in a similar category. You will understand the challenges of importing products from China and the Far East, quality standards and deliver value for customers and end-users. You will be able to demonstrate your commercial abilities and buying expertise. You will be able to discuss your methods and buying practises to show a robust buying process. Someone with a CIPS qualification would therefore be suited to the role. You will be a strong communicator and be able to work closely with internal and external team members.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have a robust buying process that can be applied to different product categories. You will need to have experience in a product categories that are similar to hospitality equipment, furniture, fittings etc. and have experience in, or be capable of, leading a team.

Salary
~£60-£70k + car allowance, bonus and competitive package
