Our Client supply an innovative range of garden/seasonal products to Garden Centres and some Gift Shops.
They are now looking for an accomplished Area Sales Manager to cover the area covering Kent, East and West Sussex and some of South London selling in the main to Garden Centres on this area. The area has been badly undermanaged so there is massive potential to increase sales in the area, and in particular by opening up the independent gift shop sector in south London which again is very under-exploited. This is an ideal opportunity for somebody wanting an opportunity to really prove themselves.
Candidates should be experienced in selling into independent garden centres. This is essential. They might also consider candidates having sold into gift shops but garden centres is the bull’s eye.
Candidates can be from any garden centre relevant category from gifts to gardening to pets to hampers to horticulture.
Also important is some good solid Territory Management experience. Candidates need to be able to demonstrate they can manage themselves, work without constant supervision, manage their own journey plan and generally look after themselves.
Living location – anywhere on patch ( being East Sussex, West Sussex, Kent and the southern part of London ). The ideal location would be central to the patch – eg within 30 miles either side of the M23 ( which runs from Redhill at 6 o clock on the M25 all the way down to Brighton ).
Remuneration - £30k ( maybe up to £32k ) plus bonus plus company car.
