About the Job:
This role will focus on the delivery of commercial results through effective buying, category management, range reviews, innovation and supplier management. You will utilise your retail buying and commercial experience to drive performance within your given category and deliver the best possible range of products for the customer, at a great price. You will be able to work with suppliers to drive efficiency and long term relationships to ensure future supply. You will be very commercial and be able to deliver results first and foremost.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will come from a food retail environment and have a proven track record of consistently delivering commercial results. You will have experience in the food sector. You will be a team player and be able to work in a flat structure to deliver reults. You will have a good understanding of the food supply chain etc. You will be able to innovate and improve commercial performance.
Buying and/or commercial experience, as well as food category experience is a must for this role. As is the ability to commercial performance and deliver results. You will be a real 'doer' and will be able to get stuck in to drive performance. As our client operates a flat structure, you will be able to stand on your own two feet and get things done.
Our clients process consists of 2 stages, with a potential third if meetings have occurred off-site.
