Location: Glasgow (ML4)

Shift: 5 Shifts out of 7 days (5am/8am/3pm start times – 8 ½ Hour shifts)

*** will include 1 Sunday shift in 7 weeks and 3 Saturday shifts in 7 weeks ***

Salary: £23,252 + Package

We are currently on the hunt for a Laboratory Technician to join our client, a much-loved global food and drink manufacturer at an exciting time of growth. Due to company growth and a true emphasis on quality this role has become available. You will be working with a wide range of branded and private label products delivering and contributing to their drive-in achieving excellence.

We are currently looking to recruit Laboratory Technicians / Microbiology technicians to join their site within the food processing site.

As a crucial part of the Technical team, your role is to assist the Quality Manager in the daily operation of the Quality department. The role is split between the factory and quality control laboratory, but will also involve record keeping, reporting, administration and providing support to the Quality and Technical functions this is all whilst striving to continuously improve in line with company values.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

Quality based testing and data evaluation

Active involvement in solving problems / trouble shooting through data analysis and evaluation

Plays an active part in building QMS capability across site

Responsible for laboratory tasks and management systems

Responsible for internal and external audit processes

Skills, experience and knowledge within the following:

HACCP Awareness (Level 2-3) preferred

Basic Food Hygiene preferred

Microbiology and aseptic techniques

Internal Auditing

Word and Excel
