As Field Sales Manager you will be working for one of the UKs leading suppliers of artisanal fine foods, providing high quality products into well-known foodservice, independent retail and catering customers. The business has achieved double digit year on year growth for over the last 3 years. Due to this continued growth, and internal promotions across the business, there is now a requirement for a Field Sales Manager to join their team.

As Field Sales Manager you will be the strategic lead responsible for delivering revenue margin growth. Your role as Field Sales Manager will be to manage the day to day responsibilities of the organisations leading accounts, along with managing a team of 9 Territory Business Managers, ensuring all strategic objectives and KPIs are met and delivered. In addition to this you will be expected to proceed on all commercial opportunities to maximise the potential for sales growth and achievement of increased volumes, whilst also developing the strategy for the organisations brand.  

Key functional responsibilities will include;

  • Understanding all areas of the business that impact upon sales and influence these to deliver on forecasted requirements.
  • Developing Joint Business Plans with the customer to deliver on all corporate objectives.
  • Identifying and securing all possible profitable opportunities and growing them to their full potential.
  • Creating a vision for the channel, working with their customers and suppliers to build their vision.
  • Decision making on business critical matters.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will be expected to have at least 3 years’ experience working as a Field Sales Manager or Senior National Account Manager. Demonstratable people management experience is essential, you must also have a passion for leading and developing teams. My client will consider all candidates from a food or drinks background. It is preferable you have previously sold into the independent, foodservice or garden centre channels. If you have worked across other channels but have strong field sales management exposure, you will also be considered.
