£44,118 to £50,105 Basic plus bonus and company car
Our client is has an enviable range of biscuits, shortbreads and cakes which are hugely popular as both gift items, and general grocery items, and can be found in garden centres and farm shops throughout the country. Manufactured from a number of state of the art bakeries in both the UK and Holland, our client is intent on maintaining and improving the quality and taste, of what already is a very premium and absolute top quality product range . The opportunities in the UK are substantial and the parent company in Holland has identified the UK as its greatest potential for growth, along with making a substantial capital investment in new bakery / office premises in addition to expanding the sales force to capitalise on the opportunity.
The company currently only trades in Holland and the UK, however there is considerable potential both in other European markets as well as the Americas and other worldwide markets. The current export business is almost non-existent, so we have been briefed to identify and recruit an accomplished export professional, to identify the most relevant markets and to then formulate an Export Strategy for the company, and then to implement the strategy. It is anticipated that opportunities will be found in both foreign distributors as well as end user retailers, so experience of one or both of these channels would definitely be required ( any territory ).
The role involves a certain amount of international travel including an average of four to six night each month away from home. You should also be available to attend Head Office in Holland twice a year ( normally a two day stay ). You would ideally be living in the Midlands.
In return for your dedication and effort, our client is prepared to pay a basic salary of between £44,118 to £50,105, plus bonus, and company car.
