Field Sales Manager – Garden Centres and Farm Shops.
£45,289 to £50,097 Basic plus bonus and company car.
Our client is has an enviable range of biscuits, shortbreads and cakes which are hugely popular as both gift items, and  general grocery items, and can be found in garden centres and farm shops throughout the country. Manufactured from a number of state of the art bakeries in both the UK and Holland, our client is intent on maintaining and improving the quality and taste, of what already is a very premium and absolute top quality product range . The opportunities in the UK are substantial and the parent company in Holland has identified the UK as its greatest potential for growth, along with making a substantial capital investment in new bakery / office premises in addition to expanding the sales force to capitalise on the opportunity.

The main thrust of the position is to manage  team of six Area Sales Managers, so whilst largely a man management role, it also carries with it personal sales responsibility for the National Garden Centre chains; the likes of Dobbie’s, Nottcuts, Blue Diamond, Klondyke etc

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you should ideally have at least a couple of years man management experience, although we have been briefed to consider exceptional candidates who are looking for their first man management roles, provided of course they have the gravitas required to step into a leadership role and immediately command the respect of their sales team. It is also important that you have had exposure to the garden centre nationals in a National Account Management role.

The role involves a considerable amount of UK travel including an average of four to six night each month away from home. You should also be available to attend Head Office in Holland twice a year ( normally a two day stay ). You would ideally be living in the Midlands.

In return for your dedication and effort, our client is prepared to pay a basic salary of between £45,289 to £50,097, plus bonus, and company car.
