ROLE OVERVIEW
We’re seeking a dynamic, talented and highly analytical Senior e-Commerce Business Analyst to be an integral part of our e-Commerce team, working alongside a team of talented and passionate sales people, analysts, and other sales support staff to help build collaborative and successful relationships with some of the largest and most well-known retail chains and e-Commerce retailers in Europe especially Amazon.
This key role is critical to delivering our company’s strategic plan. You will be directly involved in managing the day-to-day business activities associated with some of our key customer accounts, and driving profitable sales growth for the company, and developing new accounts.
In this role, you’ll be an essential part of our mission to inspire creativity and imagination in children throughout the world with thoughtfully designed toys that spark free play.
What you’ll be doing:
Develop and maintain a close partnership with the e-Commerce Manager to create and deliver the sales and profitability plan for Europe
Support Ecommerce Manager to execute plan to deliver sales goal in e-Commerce Accounts
Working as part of our senior sales/customer development team, establish and build relationships with the key contacts at our e-Commerce customer accounts
Bring thought leadership to how we approach our e-Commerce accounts, so we stay ahead of the competition
Clarify and measure best in class execution of our brand on all key customer e-Commerce platforms
Identify and track key performance indicators to measure business success across the markets and within each account, review and ensure ongoing productivity and profitability of the retailer assortment
Analyze retailer data and internal sales data in order to help steer sales efforts, identify potential product assortment additions/deletions with the goal of maximizing our sales productivity
Closely manage sales trends, inventory levels and customer receipt plans, with goal of capturing upside potential and minimizing inventory exposure, develop monthly flow plans, manage inventory, coordinate with the planning teams at our retail customers to ensure that they are placing appropriate orders
Maintain monthly forecasts for our internal demand planning, reflecting sell-through trends, promotional activity and product mix changes
Analyze account investment opportunities for marketing and merchandising, and determine ROI potential
Help build and maintain account promotional calendars, analyze the profitability of the promotional events, and determine the shipment needs to support promotions
Prepare for customer meetings, put together business review documents, meeting presentations, product recommendations, and meeting agendas
Coordinate with internal resources on custom product development projects, availability, order flow, order issues, promotional materials, etc. (interfacing with product development, logistics, demand planning, marketing)
Work closely with the e-Commerce admin support to ensure we understand market dynamics of the customers and manage our 3P marketplace, ensuring channel management of products as appropriate
What you’ll have:
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience in analysis, retail, business management, business development, sales analyst role or similar (Amazon experience highly preferred)
Experience of data handling, forecasting and analysis
Detail oriented and demonstrate proactive forward strategic thinking
Action orientated and focused on achieving smart goals
Excellent time management skills, be able to work at a fast pace and manage a varied work load
Flexible, resilient and adaptable
Excellent problem solver and solutions oriented Excellent analytical skills with an ability to think and execute tactically
Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning and organization skills
Excellent negotiator with strong influencing skills
Excellent proficiency in MS Office including strong Excel skills – experience with advanced functions such as pivot tables and V-lookups Confident, self-motivated and willing to learn new skills Ability to think outside the box Excellent team player with a collaborative approach
