Safety First Aid is a specialist supplier of First Aid, Medical and Health & Safety products with distribution throughout the UK and Eire.
With a portfolio of over 4000 products ranging from own brand value product to leading brands, our client is one of the leading specialist suppliers in the UK.
We are looking for a dynamic and focused Account Manager who can generate new business from both new customers and existing customers
You will exceed sales targets by proactively prospecting for new customers and grow revenue within a defined portfolio of existing customers
You will proactively promote new products and develop ranges for our customers and convert appropriate inbound sales leads
You will champion the new customer ‘onboarding process’ and be seen as ‘the expert’ for our customers.
You will have a critical central role between the customer and the operation. It will be important to gather both market and customer insight, so that we continually stay ahead of our competitors.
- Experience of business to business sales
- Hard working, resilient, flexible, good humored & enjoys a team environment
- Ability to act on your own initiative whilst working towards an agreed goal
- Excellent verbal and written communicator, confident on the telephone.
- Ability to network with individuals at different levels within an organisation
- Can prioritise when faced with multiple tasks
- Strong customer focus balanced with an understanding of our needs as a business.
- Well organised, able to work independently & use own initiative
- Sound commercial understanding, recognizing the importance of generating strong margins
- A high level of IT Skills, using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Flexible with a can do attitude to learning
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience of manufacturer / wholesaler / distributor supply chains an advantage
