A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an International Commercial Manager to join a market-leading FMCG Food client looking after and growing sales in their Spanish & French markets. Reporting directly into the Managing Director for Europe, the new Commercial Manager will work closely with the UK, US and International partners but with the focus on these specific markets.

Headquartered in the US, my client is a very strong, internationally known brand and supplier of the world's finest products in their category. They are the number one supplier in their category across the world boasting various snack products in a range of flavours and formats.


The Commercial Manager will be responsible for:-
  • Supporting the company's significant growth strategy across the Spanish and French markets and regions
  • Work very closely with the Spanish manufacturing and sales partner
  • Work with the Spanish marketing agency to ensure communication plans are executed
  • Coordinate with partners to ensure the efficient introduction of new products
  • Conduct necessary store visits and market / competition analysis
  • Ensure retailers promotions and brand communication is perfectly executed
  • Develop a strategic sales plan for launching and developing the category leaders into France working with their key manufacturing partner on distribution and merchandising support
  • Review forecasts in line with marketing and customers plans
  • Provide analysis and reporting into sales of both markets, update on a monthly basis and identify key trends for which the business can make decisions on
  • Manage budget centres and monitor committed / actual spend, manage invoices also
  • Coordinate all packaging requirements including the introduction of new packs and pack design changes
  • Support and assist at all times in the management of the European business


The successful candidate for this Commercial Manager role will come with the following skills, capabilities and experiences:-
  • Ideally a graduate in a numerate and or sciences based role - also business administration
  • Fluent Spanish speaker and fluent in French also (these are essential)
  • Very strong commercial influencer, able to build stronger and lasting key relationships building confidence and challenging all stakeholders to grow
  • A self-starter, works off their own assertiveness and initiative, able to surpass targets and meet all necessary deadlines
  • A very clear communicator, excellent presentation skills, track record of polished performances
  • 50% travel to France and Spain is necessary for the success of the role
  • Ideally located close enough to an airport
  • Dynamic, driven, ambitious person
  • The successful candidate can be based anywhere in England, however a south east location may be looking up more favourably

Job Offer

Between £70,000 and £90,000 per annum, depending on the level of experience, 20% annual bonus based on performance, £10k car allowance
