The successful candidate will be tasked with increasing brand awareness globally, generating sales on expected growth projections. The ideal candidate will be able to inject significant value into the sales strategy, team and long-term future of the business. You will be expected to plan and forecast sales targets while managing and overseeing the sales and Training team effectively. As this is a senior level hire, you will directly support the company's MD in increasing market share of the brand.

Although initially a Maternity Cover, this role has potential to grow into a permanent position.
Responsibilities

  • Managing the forecasted sales & training dept budget. Monthly reporting on sales performance against budget and reporting on variances.
  • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales targets for regions and territories for existing and new customers.
  • Consistently evaluating the sales growth for meeting strategic targets and formatting sales tactics to increase sales where necessary. Identifying key areas for improvement in the sales process.
  • Quarterly figure review with all sales personnel supporting the team to effectively maximise sales.

  • Developing short- and long-term sales and training strategies for retail, professional and amenities. Formatting and communicating sales plans and forecasts to MD in advance.
  • Maximising new business development opportunities. Identify new markets and opportunities.
  • Working alongside Marketing Department to strategically build and develop brand awareness and communicate Corporate Identity.
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of sales and training objectives. Communicating effectively and efficiently with all stakeholders. Ensuring all customer service levels externally are being met.
  • Attending monthly meetings with other senior members of the business.

The Candidate

 

 

  • Represent the business at conferences, trade fairs and networking events. Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Overseeing the sales and training team, ensuring effective performance management is in place. Ensuring diaries are monitored to ensure efficient planning is in place. Overseeing all KPIs for sales and training personal based on SMART objectives.
  • Continual training and development of all members of the sales and training department and maintain effective staffing structures dependant on growth areas. Communicating with HR & H&S manager on all personnel issues and keeping compliance with all company policy's in HR & H&S.
  • Providing industry information to the marketing manager, advising on marketing material needs in line with customer feedback. Work in conjunction with MM to develop a strategic NPD plan, in line with company growth targets.
