Our client is a highly successful division of a major FMCG food and drinks company operating across a number of diverse categories. The company has a growing presence in the Premium Soft Drinks category with their market leading brands.

The business has some really exciting future growth plans for both existing and new brands, supported by significant marketing investment. They are now seeking a Customer Development Executive to join their national field sales team in the South West region. The job role is field-based but candidates should ideally live within a reasonable commute distance to Bristol, or be prepared to relocate to this area. You must also possess a valid UK driving licence.

The Role

The CDE role will have direct responsibility for developing the company’s premium soft drinks brands in a broad mix of accounts, ranging from 3rd party managed contract caterers, local wholesale businesses and key leisure operators. Your key responsibility will be to drive visibility through arranging and supporting relevant events/blitzes. You will 
negotiate and optimise fridge space, menu feature and best in class brand visibility across your account base. You will meet and review business performance with customers on a regular basis, agreeing areas and actions for business growth. You will ensure targets and margins are achieved. There will be a need for some weekend and evening work across your territory, to support promotional activity. 

About You

We are looking for graduate-calibre individuals with a minimum of c.12 months previous sales experience gained ideally in the wholesale/foodservice environment who can display a genuine passion for the drinks industry. Alternatively you may be a recent graduate with some relevant sales work experience gained from an internship or work placement period. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility that will test your influencing skills from day one.  To be successful you will need to display a confident, articulate and persuasive personality, combined with passion and a drive for success.
