A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a highly successful family run business, whose values run at the centre of everything that they do. This company is an industry leading food manufacturer of bakery products throughout the UK and Europe. They have more recently launched a new healthier range of snacks including high protein, vegetarian and vegan. Following an impressive year on year growth of over 30% they are looking to expand the sales team.

he Head of Sales is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their dynamic and high performing team. This role is primarily field based; however, you will be required in the office once a week. You will be required to win new business across the Wholesale, Cash & Carry and Convenience sectors. Once you have converted a lead that will remain your account and you will be responsible for managing all aspects of that account.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Sales
  • Convert sales opportunities in line with sales and profit targets
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with new and existing customers
  • Communicate all sales activities with the team
  • Development of business plans in line with strategic aims and parameters

Only apply for this role if you have the following

  • Worked in an FMCG field-based role for at least 2 years – selling into the Wholesale/Cash&Carry/Convenience channels
  • Natural ability to hunt and convert new business opportunities into sales
  • Understand the sales industry and how different channels work
  • Must be able to negotiate at all levels
  • Clean driving license and the right to work in the UK
