A great opportunity for an ambitious Buyer to gain genuine career progression with a market leading food business.

My client is a fast growing, innovative, multi-site food business with a reputation for exciting products and quality. They reward and look after employees well and offer outstanding long-term opportunities for progression.

They are now looking for an experienced Buyer to take a step up to the next level as Category Buyer. You'll work as part of a close-knit team and be responsible for the category management and strategic sourcing of a range of ingredients, ensuring that the business is the preferred customer for category led innovation.

You will need to have strong strategic sourcing experience, ideally within functional ingredients in the food industry. Strong negotiation skills and working knowledge of the total cost of ownership are essential, as are first class stakeholder engagement skills. Personality is key within the business and you will need to be self-motivated, be great at building long-term relationships and be a real ambassador of procurement within the business.
