Would you like to work for a category leading premium, healthy snacking brand based in London? This opportunity is for a passionate and ambitious Account Manager with Wholesale/ Foodservice experience with a proven track record of managing branded FMCG food or beverage products WITH Brakes experience.

You will strategically manage accounts to ensure annual turnover and profit growth. As the National Account Manager Wholesale within the commercial team you will be responsible managing and growing sales in Brakes, DDC, Freshfayre with a wider portfolio of regional wholesalers, whilst also contributing and supporting the wholesale team in developing existing listings, generating new business, managing product launches and steering promotional plans. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team to develop customer relationships and raise customer awareness across branded products.

You will work in a cross functional environment working closely with Head of wholesale to driven the company’s strategic plan. As the NAM for Wholesale you will ensure annual turnover and profit growth targets are achieved, working from their head office in the North London. For this role you must be a driven, passionate NAM or an experienced NAE, JNAM, with experience of managing Brakes. This exciting opportunity will focus on a range of wholesale/ foodservice and contract catering accounts. You must have FMCG Account Management experience however open to current channel experience Grocery, Convenience and Wholesale background however wholesale channel experience is essential within your career.  We are looking for the right attitude, passion, drive and commercial acumen.

Package Details:

  • £40,000 - £45,000 and excellent benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop existing and new business, manage product launches and promotional activities.
  • Manage a portfolio of branded products.
  • Manage customer accounts with Brakes, DDC, Freshfayre with a wider portfolio of regional wholesalers.
  • Implement account management processes such as sales forecasting, price maintenance and contract management.
  • Establish and maintain the most efficient core range listings and distribution levels.
  • Develop existing and new business, manage product launches and promotional activities.
  • Responsible for weekly tracking, measurement and evaluation of performance to ensure the plan is delivered.
  • Develop customer relationships and raise awareness of product portfolio.
  • Implement company strategic objectives.
  • Implement, review and revise customer plans to drive account success.
  • Represent the company with external stakeholders.
  • Work in a cross functional environment specifically marketing and buying department.
  • Develop account plans to increase new business opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven FMCG Account Management experience
  • Account Management experience – (Brakes)
  • Food and Drink channel experience – (Wholesale/ foodservice)
  • P&L responsible
  • JBP experience
  • 3 years commercial experience within retail/ grocery/ wholesale/ convenience channels
  • Entrepreneurial ambition and be driven
  • Graduate calibre
  • Proven experience of developing and generating new business within industry
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Excellent organisational skills
