THE ROLE

Following another successful internal promotion and as part of our continued investment for growth in Ireland, we are looking to appoint a dynamic, well-trained FMCG Sales or Marketing professional who will take full responsibility for our total Irish market business management and P&L performance. This will include working both strategically and operationally with our appointed distributor partners (3) covering all trade channels within chilled, ambient and frozen product categories plus the direct management of our Tesco Ireland business. You will provide support and influence to our distributor partners, with one core objective in mind — to drive sales volumes that capitalise on market growth trends and opportunities.

 THE CANDIDATE

You are a high-calibre individual with experience in a leading branded FMCG business, working in National Account Management, Category/Customer Marketing or Brand Marketing. Ideally you have worked through a recognised distributor, where you have directly managed, or have been in a brand-influencing role with the major Irish grocery retailers. You will also be considered if you have  direct trade management experience. Either way, you should possess a sound understanding of the Irish food industry channel structure, as well a demonstrable knowledge of current consumer trends and how to build effective, culturally-strong relationships.

Above all, you are highly personable and demonstrate drive and energy as well as having a natural style to work as part of a highly-talented, cross-functional sales and marketing team. To achieve success in this role you will need to be based in Dublin with one day per week attendance in our smart Birmingham head office, or live within the Birmingham area and be prepared to spend 7 to10 days per month in Dublin.

If you want to join the dynamic Alpro UK & Ireland team and feel that you have the proven track record of managing or brand influencing the Irish grocer trade, then please email your up-to-date CV together with benefits package details to our retained recruitment partner mark@smithcarey.co.uk quoting reference MS/2080. Alternatively please call Mark on 07747 847214.

All direct and third party applications will be forwarded to SmithCarey.
