£40,000 - £45,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance

Home based - Yorkshire

Reporting into the Managing Director, the Business Development Manager will be working for one of the leading privately-owned ingredient suppliers in the UK, supplying ingredients into national food manufacturers, wholesalers and contract caterers. Due to a continued growth in excess of 8% year on year they are creating this role to enable further growth in the manufacturing sector. This company is located on a 100acre site where they grow all their products for 6 months in the UK, and have partners oversees in Spain, Italy and many other countries to ensure they are providing the best product all year round.

The main responsibilities shall include;

• Creating, maintaining and enhancing effective working relationships with customers.
• Managing the development of new business and development of relationships with new customers by presenting the clients product range in a suitable manner.
• Achieving the manufacturing sector sales targets.
• Achieving the contribution target for the year.
• Providing sales support to the Managing Director

You will be expected to have at least 3 years’ sales experience within an industrial account management/business development role. You will preferably have experience working within ingredients or fresh produce however those within food and drink will also be considered.
