My Client
We are excited to be working with this company to recruit a National Account Manager as my client is viewed as a ‘hero’ brand within the FMCG arena. They have a brand and strategy that is the envy of their competitors [and this envy goes wider than just the consumer space!] and are frequently on the ‘wish list’ of companies to work for when we speak with candidates.

They have a reputation for being a great employer as they encourage autonomy and creativity and do not put barriers or red tape in the way of people achieving this! There is a strong track record of internal promotions with training and development to support this. Progression does not have to be linear either, they support a breadth of experience and encourage team members so move laterally around departments to get exposure to all areas of the commercial business.
The Role
This National Account Manager will be responsible for a selection of wholesale and convenience accounts, the exact customers will depend on the strength, preference and skill set of the successful candidate for this role. There is a lot of white space within this channel so the ability to open new accounts and knock on doors is essential to the growth of this sector.

Wholesale/Convenience is a relatively new but high potential area for this brand so there is plenty of scope for this role to become a SNAM position in the short to medium term.

The Person
We are looking for a National Account Manager that is looking to work with an innovative and hero brand in the FMCG market. You will have experience managing accounts in the FMCG space with the ability to move quickly and keep up with the decision-making pace of this company. This could be as a Field Sales leader [with some account exposure] a NAM in this or any channel, or a buyer that is looking to transition to supplier side

Culture fit is important, everyone wants to progress and do well in this business but not to the detriment or expense of their colleagues. People work collaboratively, support each other but also respectfully push and challenge each other when it is needed.
