Senior Buyer – £50,000 - £60,000 – Home Counties
An excellent opportunity has arisen within an established Retail client who is seeking a senior buyer to join their dynamic and expanding team in the Home Counties to assist with an increase in work force.
The successful Senior Buyer must have demonstrable experience of managing a category within a food retail environment. You will be responsible for managing the supply base and negotiating to drive sales and profitability. Having excellent commerciality you will work closely with the own brand team to bring new and exciting products to market that meet customers expectations. You will be responsible for managing pricing and promotions of your category and will manage at least 1 assistant buyer. You will have a strong buying background gained from a UK retailer and you will put the customer at the centre of all decision making, in addition you will have excellent negotiation and commercial skills combined with fantastic communication skills and will thrive in a fast paced retail environment.
