An excellent opportunity has arisen within an established, successful and ambitious retail client who is seeking a Head of Buying BWS to join their dynamic and expanding team to assist with an increase in work force.
The successful Head of Buying BWS will lead a team of 10+ buyers and will have a proven track record in leading a team to develop innovative buying strategies which exceeds customers’ expectations and delivers the targeted sales and profit targets. Your responsibilities as the Head of Buying BWS will be to develop and deliver the category vision including championing the drive for improved cash sales, margin delivery and building mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers. Reporting to the Buying Director you will inspire and lead the team to develop innovative buying strategies delivering sales, margin and availability targets. You will be someone who is currently working in a buying role within a fast-paced food retailer. You will have expertise in category thinking and will bring strategic vision and thought leadership. You will have managed and developed teams of buyers. In addition, you will demonstrate a passion for the customer and a flair for commerciality. It is essential to have BWS experience
