Finance Manager – Europe (French speaking)

Reporting into the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will be working for a leading supplier of fresh produce into the UK retail market. Since the company’s incorporation, the business has now grown, turning over in excess of £100million within the UK.  Following a recent internal restructure, there is now a requirement for a Finance Manager to join their already highly performing finance division within the South East.

 

 

 

The key purpose of the role is to take accountability for the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely weekly and monthly management accounts and other information as required as well as managing the account payable and admin function, managing a team of 3 direct reports. This also includes preparation, review and management of a number of weekly, monthly and other duties.

 

 

 

The functional duties of this role will include:

 

 

 

Taking responsibility for the preparation of weekly results and analysis – accurately delivered to strict deadlines Preparing monthly management accounts in respect to group deadlines, providing detailed analysis of performance, trends and variances Preparing the monthly forecast in cooperation with the commercial team based in France, including variances to budget, analysis etc Auditing year-end file preparation, assist the Finance Director with tax work Supporting the Finance Director and other member of the team during the budget preparation Ensuring that financial compliance is monitored with internal controls Ensuring the business is compliant in different countries it is established within - UK, FR & NL Identifying and implementing systems and processes enhancements to improve efficiency Working closely with sales and business development to cost and assess new business Ad hoc project work and cost analysis and reduction reviews Managing and mentoring a team composed of two account payables and an admin trainee accountant You will be expected to have at least 4 years’ experience working as a Finance Manager. It is preferable that you have worked within a manufacturer, however all applicants with strong finance management experience will be considered. It is essential you can speak French to a business level.
