Santa Maria UK is looking to appoint a new Country Manager within the Foodservice division to lead and manage an already successful team and drive growth across the UK&IRE OOH business. This is a key Sales leadership role and we’re looking for a candidate with at least 5 years’ experience in a senior sales management role who can demonstrate advanced leadership skills and possess excellent commercial acumen. It would also be highly desirable for the candidate to have a Food Service / Food Industry sector background and in addition share our passion for cooking, ingredients and all things food!     

As Country Manager you will lead, coach and motivate the existing remote sales team and be responsible for the growth and profitability of the country OOH business by developing and executing the sales strategy to increase net sales. You’ll play an active role in the strategic management of important relationships with key customers, ensure all potential sales opportunities are maximised and grow our market position towards category leadership.

Our Foodservice UK&IRE team are enjoying year on year growth across both Wholesale and End User sales and there is opportunity to capitalise by exploring new sales channels and taking exciting new product ranges to market.      

Leading and managing a team of 8 the main purpose of this role is to deliver planned targets by managing all aspects of the sales cycle. A successful remote based team is already in place made up of Key Account Managers, Sales Account Managers, After Sales and a Sales Support function so it’s absolutely vital an effective and engaging team management process is put in place to both motivate and drive the team to continue to deliver excellent results.

In summary, skills and experience required;

Proven sales leadership experience and delivering results in a demanding key account management environment

Ability to motivate, develop and manage a remote based sales team and drive for results

A strong business acumen – commercially astute with good numeracy and P&L analysis skills

Foodservice or Food sector sales management experience
