Senior Procurement role | Fresh Produce | Interim

We are working with one of the real success stories within the fresh produce industry. They have an opportunity for an Interim Senior Procurement Manager or Head of Procurement level candidate to join their business and support them during an important phase of their growth. There is the potential for this role to go permanent in time, but the real focus currently is to achieve their short to medium term aims. Which is where you come in.

The Job:
You will be working closely with the broader procurement team to drive the fresh produce procurement for them.
They are buying a broad range of products and are always considering new products as well as new suppliers to improve their overall supply chain.
A close relationship with the Commercial and NPD teams is really important as you need to ensure you are procuring product that matches the technical specs that have been presented.

The Candidate:
You will be available for a minimum of 3 months and have extensive experience in procuring a range of produce.
You will have the ability and gravitas to find and approach new suppliers to potentially bring them into the overall portfolio.
There are a number of key stakeholders in the business which need to be kept informed at all times, so communication is vital.
