Our client is a market leading non-food consumer goods business that operate across a number of product categories including seasonal, garden and home. Products are designed and made specifically for each retailer’s needs. The business supplies a number of key customer channels including department stores, high street retailers, garden centres and the independent trade. Culture is very important, it’s a people orientated environment where employees are nurtured and developed. An opportunity has arisen for an Area/Field Sales Manager to join the business covering the Midlands territory. This is a key area for the business and already very well established.
As Area/Field Sales Manager you will focus on the large garden centre groups, for example Notcutts & Dobbies. The role may encompass other retail accounts such as department stores and independent retailers.
You will have full P&L responsibility across your designated area, a mix of existing business and seeking out new opportunities. The area has fantastic potential for growth, it requires someone tenacious and driven to further develop the territory and build on these relationships. With this you will be rewarded with an excellent commission scheme based upon personal performance.
To be considered for this opportunity we are looking for candidates with some level of territory sales experience. Ideally you will have strong experience of managing garden centres, selling a consumer product into this customer base. For example, you may currently be operation in garden, outdoor, homewares or a seasonal product category. We require someone who works well autonomously, is entrepreneurial and highly motivated. This is a great change to join a progressive business, reporting into a Sales Director who can offer some great support and has a personable approach.
