We’re supporting a London based food brand, who are firmly placed in the ‘better for you’ and sustainable space and are taking the market by storm.  They’ve experienced a very successful few years and now looking to make an addition to the team in a Head of Grocery.  You’ll find a passionate bunch of people here who genuinely care, are more like friends than colleagues and all striving for a common goal.  Offering flexible working amongst other unique benefits, this is an opportunity not to be missed!

As Head of Grocery you will:

  • Set strategic direction and vision for your customer base working from the ground up.
  • Work with the wider team and founders to provide direction, creative solutions and manage upwards to deliver commercial strategy and define the way of working.
  • Walk before you can run in developing the existing business across Top 6 Grocery, launching NPD and taking ‘a foot in the door’ to national listings.
  • Manage a P&L, develop JBPs, take a small brand to mainstream retail without losing the brands humble beginnings and originality.

 

To be successful in your application:

  • You will have operated in Top 4 Grocery retail in a Branded FMCG business.
  • You will be at the stage of your career where you’ve been fully P&L responsible and know how to develop and implement JBPs, yet still have a lot more to achieve in your career and very passionate about start-up/ SME food/ drink brands.
  • You will be able to demonstrate your ability to manage upwards and set strategy.
  • You can demonstrate business growth, not just in existing accounts but also in new business in Retail.
  • You must be someone who is tenacious, who can deal with adversity and who will thrive I working in a small and close knit team.
