National Account Manager | Food Brands

They offer some really cutting edge, trendy products that have capitalised on the latest food trends and growth markets, such as flexitarian and vegan diets and food-to-go. They offer private label and branded products, many of which end up in the major food retailers. They have a track record of creating category leading products through an effective NPD pipeline based on category data and taking a pro-active approach. About the Job:
This role will focus on some fantastic brands that are riding a wave of success given the growth in their categories. Their products are very trendy and on point for the market right now. It's an exciting time for these brands, and our client as a result. You will utilise your experience in managing accounts to develope a deeper relationship with these brands and drive commercial performance. You will be able to work closely with these customers and internal teams to look at any potential trends that are coming to the market to drive NPD and sales. Reporting to the Commercial Controller, you will be the first point of contact with these brands and will ensure forecasting and supply is adequate to deliver growth. You will use your understanding of the manufacturing process to work with these customer to drive continued success.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a background in the food industry and will have worked with trendy food brands. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to manage customers and have a track record of delivering account growth. You will need to be commercial savvy and have strong numerical skills to achieve this. You will have experience in utilising planning software and Excel to ensure forecast accuracy and margins. You will be a clear communicator and will be able to work cross functionally with internal and external teams.
To be considered for this role, you will need to have experience in a similar food product or a strong FMCG background. You will need to be driven and want to progress your career. You will need to be able to demonstrate your capability of delivering commercial results and driving account performance, possessing a solid track record in this area. You will need to be numerically strong and know your numbers, margins, percentages etc.
Competitive salary and package with great scope for future progression. As a guide, basic salary ~£30k - £40k DOE.
