Account Manager | Fresh Produce | Large Group
We are working with one of the fastest growing and most progressive fresh produce businesses in the country. They are currently looking for an Account Manger to work within their Commercial team. You will be managing your own areas of one of the major supermarket accounts and supporting the Senior National Account Manager on the overall bigger picture as well. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring Commercial candidate to take their next step within a business that has an excellent track record of developing their people from within.
You will be assisting in the management of one of their largest accounts, which often throws up interesting challenges which need to be navigated. It is important that you gain a good overall understanding of how the business operates and also the overall category that you are in. This will allow you to stay on top of any changes and react as quickly as possible. Clear communication within the customer and the business is vital as you will often be the person who relates changes to the wider audience.
In an ideal world, you will have experience of working within fresh produce (Food FMCG if not) having dealt with one or more of the major retailers in an account executive or junior account manager capacity. Strong interpersonal skills are essential as internal and external communication is a vital part of the role. A good level of Excel knowledge is important as well.
