FMCG Buyer | Import from Far East

About the Job:
This role will lead part of the Buying team within the business. You will be given a range of products to look after and buy for. You will be able to drive commercial results and savings, whilst building close relationships with suppliers and manufacturers. You will utilise your experience in buying from China and the Far East to deliver the correct products for the right price. You will be able to do this without sacrificing quality. You will be able to lead NPD activities to deliver a market leading range of range of products that appeal to target markets.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a proven buyer with eCommerce experience as well as import from China and the Far East. You will be an effective buyer and understand buying products from China. You will know what good buying looks like and how to achieve this. You will be able to show your experience and track record of delivering savings and commercial results. You will be able to show your experience in eCommerce and track record of delivering sales. First and foremost this is a commercial buying role, so you will need to show commerciality and be a strong negotiator and understand what appeals to customers.
This is a very complex and niche role that is operating in a very fast paced environment. As such, as a minimum, you will need experience in buying FMCG products from China and the Far East. You will also need to show experience in sales through eCommerce.
