National Account Manager – World Foods

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and driven individual to join an award-winning World foods business.




Working with a well-established World Food brand, specialising in both own label and branded products, boasting a turnover of over 70m. This could be an ideal step up for a Key Account Manager, or National Account Executive looking to step up into a National Account Manager role.




Key Tasks/Responsibilities:




·         The day-to-day management of existing national accounts


·         Develop existing accounts in terms of volume, net sales and profitability


·         To build and maintain strong relationships within accounts and hold


·         regular review meetings with key account holders


·         To actively seek new customers


·         To monitor service levels to customers and ensure a smooth supply


·         chain / delivery


·         To work with customers to develop a broader range portfolio and to


·         deliver the best solutions to the customer and our business


·         Develop and activate promotional strategies for each account


·         Negotiate margins, price changes, shelf positioning, promotional


·         activities etc with all accounts


·         Monitoring the sales volumes within each account


·         To monitor competitor activity and ensure that appropriate VeeTee


·         personnel are continuously informed


·         To keep customers informed of any emerging issues within the market


·         To utilise category management principles to add value to accounts


·         Create and provide forecasting and sales analysis of sales volumes


·         within accounts


·         Ensure new product listings and successful launch of new products into


·         all accounts


·         Increase distribution and improve shelf presence for products


·         To develop business plans for own accounts and the sector in general


·         To undertake ad hoc project work


·         Any other reasonable duties associated with the role




To be considered for this role you will be expected to have at least 2 years’ experience working within an account management role within the FMCG food arena. In addition, you must have worked with one or more retail customers with experience of own label and branded food products.
