Regional Sales Manager- North (M62 Corridor)

Perfetti Van Melle is a privately owned international manufacturer and marketer of sugar confectionary and chewing gum. Sitting third in this market globally, we employ over 19,000 across 35 operating companies with sales in over 150 countries. The company has shown impressive growth over the last 10 years. 

The PVM portfolio of products Globally contains many household names across all continents. In the UK the four key brands are Mentos (mint and fruit candies and chewing gums), Smint (power mints), Fruittella (fruity, chewy candies) and Chupa Chups (lollipops and bubblegum).

This is a demanding leadership role, which is field based and involves the day to day leadership of approx. eight TSM's. We are looking for an RSM that can lead from the front and  has a very clear understanding of all the PVM tools and in-store processes.  As an RSM, you are expected to be a problem solver and lead from the front with in-store arguments, have a strategic approach to sales and an inspirational leader. The role involves spending a minimum of 3 full days per week in the field with your TSMs, and will often require overnight stays and regular trips to our office in Old Windsor. This is an incredible opportunity for an outstanding individual who can motivate and challenge others to help meet the ever changing needs of the business.

Coaching, training, recruitment, retention, engagement, personal development plans and career progression are all key components of the role to enable “best in class” execution of the UK Field Plan. Sales value and volume growth, channel and regional profitability, achieving outstanding display execution, targeted brand distribution are all critical KPI’s that the RSM is responsible for across a team.

The RSM with have ownership and close involvement in a number of strategic projects that are critical to the overall development of PVM Field Sales. They will also demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen and excellent Excel, Word, PowerPoint and data analytical skills.

A core competency will also see a PVM RSM be comfortable engaging and driving customer relationships at a Senior Level within the trade in particular in the Grocery sector to leverage growth opportunities
