Procurement Manager | Fresh Produce

We are working with a brilliant and fast growing business who due to recent success is looking to grow its Procurement team. This will provide a great structure and opportunity for someone to join a thriving business and really grow their career.

The Job:
Working closely with the Procurement Director and with a direct report you will be taking on the challenge of making sure the Procurement department is running very smoothly and also stepping up to the task of being point of contact when the Procurement Director is away. You will be monitoring and managing the procurement and quality assurance functions of the business to ensure the high standards are maintained but also acting as a leader in this function and all areas relating to it.

This role will also be heavily centred around relationships and continuing the excellent relationship that the business already has. This will ensure the product is the best on the market and all parties are happy with the way the business operates. This role will also see you looking at other areas for the business including packaging stocks and managing quality using and implementing a quality management system.

The Successful Candidate:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
Experience working in fresh produce or fresh food manufacturing is necessary and will help you get to grips with the product and pace of the business much better.
Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques will help you contribute greatly to the running of a successful department that will continue to grow.
Excellent commercial and analytical skills which will stand you in good stead negotiating. Must speak near fluent Spanish. Brilliant Microsoft Office skills (specifically Excel) but also experience with Rubicon & Fips Software will be required.
