About you

If I asked your Mum to describe you, she would ideally list something like:
  • Creative genius
  • Skilled Events Manager & Project Manager
  • Ability to work autonomously & take ownership of your own projects
  • Commercially savvy with the ability to influence at various levels
However, I know parents tend to exaggerate their offspring’s brilliance and she’d probably add in how talented you are & how proud she is of you which I don’t want to hear…no, not because I’m bitter that my Mum would describe me as “annoying” and “needs to learn how to do the washing up”.

Your new role


You’ll be leading on the creation, development, delivery & analysis of small to large scale events across the retail space for a FTSE 100 business. You’ll also have the autonomy to build partnerships with retail brands to sponsor events & drive more brand awareness.

Though the bulk of your role will be events-focused, you’ll be working closely with the Marketing Manager & have the chance to learn more around Marketing Campaigns / Brand Development.

Your parents probably won’t understand what you do, but it won’t stop them bragging to everyone at family BBQ’s about it.

What success looks like


Aside from doing what you’re paid to do – creating awesome events & building brand awareness – personality & presence go a long way with this business. It could be recognition from your colleagues & winning vouchers or just smashing your targets, there are several opportunities within the wider business to progress.

Whether you want to move to the head office in London (yes, you don’t have to live in Cardiff forever) or totally owning the event function & building a team. Don’t hesitate, this role will be snapped up quickly!
