Export Sales Manager – Gifts and Toys

£41,251 and £50,129 Basic plus bonus.

Our client is already a well established leader in giftware and toys here in the UK, however they have no more than a scattering of export business; a situation they fully intend to rectify at some speed. Make no mistake the potential in the Europe and beyond is substantial, and that’s across both the multiple retail channel, as well as multiple garden centres and distributors. The main thrust of the sales effort however will be aimed at the export retail channel ( High Street, Department Stores, Grocery and possibly even Online ). Although Europe represents the low hanging fruit, there is also massive potential further afield!

The company has been granted substantial funding by their parent company in the USA, and is about to open a state of the art European office and showroom in Guildford in August. Our clients fully expect to take Europe and the rest of the world by storm!

To be considered for this exciting role you should already be operating in the gift, toy or closely related category and have a good level of exposure to ( any ) export markets. You should also be an intelligent and accomplished commercial person with an understanding of how to turn on new business as well as maximise the potential from any existing accounts. You should also live within one of the following areas ;  Hampshire, Surrey, West Sussex, East Sussex, Kent, Berkshire, Essex or London.

The job involves regular foreign travel to visit customers and attend trade shows and exhibitions. You will also be required to attend a conference at Head Office in America once every October ( generally four days ).

In return for your dedication and efforts, our client is prepared to pay a competitive basic salary of between £41,251 and £50,129 plus bonus.
