Trading Company Director (Non Exec) of St Christopher’s

Founded in 1967 by Dame Cicely Saunders, the driving force behind the modern hospice movement, St Christopher’s today not only provides care and support to over 6000 people a year across the London boroughs of Lewisham, Southwark, Lambeth, Croydon and Bromley, but also has a national and international reputation as a centre for training and research in end of life care.

St Christopher’s is seeking to recruit 2 or more committed and enthusiastic individuals to further strengthen our Trading Company and help us achieve the next phase of our planned development.

Directors are responsible for the good governance, strategic direction and financial oversight of the Trading Company. 

If you have passion for the charity section and have relevant experience at a commercial and/or strategic level, then we would love to hear from you. We are looking for professional knowledge, experience and skills in one or more of the following areas:

• Logistics
• Property & facilities management
• Finance
• Commercial, particularly high street retail experience
• Innovation and entrepreneurship
• Communication and marketing
• People management

Non Executive Directors are expected to act with integrity, openness, diplomacy, tact and inclusiveness.

Further Information

The role of a non executive director of St Christopher’s is voluntary and non executive directors do not receive any remuneration for their services. Reasonable out of pocket expenses incurred in the course of carrying out the role will be reimbursed in accordance with the organisation’s expenses policy.
