 The Company

Our client is a highly successful international FMCG household goods manufacturer and clear brand leader in their category in several countries worldwide. Entrepreneurial, innovative and dynamic, they manufacture and market a range of brands plus a limited range of own-label products for key retailers, many of whom are category partners. The company is currently showing strong growth across all sectors with a clear strategy to build sales and distribution in the UK, and international growth is deemed a major pillar of their ambitious plans. The company is now looking for an International Sales Manager to join the team and play a major role in achieving their aspiration.

The Role

Reporting to the International Trading Controller, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of sales, marketing and execution of brand and distribution strategies, customer service, forecasting and business planning. You will decide on the strategies required to grow the business and have financial responsibility.

A key part of your remit will be to identify and establish new European markets that the business could successfully launch their products into via distributors.

You will help establish strategic market plans, as well as helping with product development and aftersales service.

About You

 Of graduate calibre, you possess at least 5 years' FMCG experience in an international sales capacity. You possess excellent relationship building skills, a high energy level and a thirst for success. You are highly numerate and commercially astute, with good attention to detail. You have the ability to build effective partnerships and interact successfully with individuals at all levels.

Importantly, you have a mature and professional understanding of cross-cultural differences and thorough experience of appointing and then managing distributor partners in overseas markets.

You have the flexibility to travel internationally on a regular basis. Languages would be an advantage. Fluent in both written and spoken French is highly desirable.
