Job Description – City Sales Development Manager

We’re looking for a highly talented, passionate and inspired City Sales Development Manager. You will be responsible for implementing and executing the operational field strategy for the new business channel that contributes to the current and future needs of the Ferrero business. You will have your own territory and be responsible for delivering a return on investment within your area.

Pay: £25,000 + up to 25% bonus + company car

What you will be doing?

  • Leveraging a competitive advantage in the market place and contributing to the delivery of all key financials, budgets and targets of Ferrero UK.
  • Planning, delivering and exceeding sessional & annual business targets within a defined call file and new business opportunities.
  • Identifying and assessing commercial opportunity of new business opportunities within your territory.
  • Managing and influencing the customer relationship at both store and regional manager level to step change customer engagement & to deliver the best results for Ferrero UK.
  • Making innovation and events HUGE in store.
  • Delivering value, adding initiatives in stores to ensure sustain business growth for both parties.
  • Educating customers on market & category opportunities in line with the Ferrero UK trade marketing plans & strategy.
  • Accountability for improving own performance and developing solutions & actions alongside your Line Manager to deliver continuous improvement.
  • Presenting regular updates on territory performance and propose improvements to role which will optimise future performance
  • Monitoring & evaluating call file performance. Suggest amendments via Line Manager to ensure most effective calls.
  • Monitoring market conditions, customer & competitor behaviour & communicate learning with Line Manager suggesting amendments to targets, strategies & tactics as appropriate.
  • Managing stores effectively to ensure VIP visits are successful

What will you need?

  • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of Grocery and Convenience retail sector.
  • Experience of working within a team environment.
  • Minimum of 6 months FMCG sales experience.
  • Determination to achieve & willingness to continually learn
  • Proven record of demonstrating initiative & delivering results.
  • To be able to demonstrate commercial acumen.
  • IT literate
  • Results driven with a positive and flexible attitude
  • Clean driving licence
