The role
As the Commercial Strategy Manager you will lead the relevant brand owners and commercial teams across all channels to ensure that the business deliver the agreed brand plans and activations as set out.. To do this successfully you must develop a strong day to day cross functional network.As the successful Commercial Strategy Manager you will ensure resolution between Brand/Value Strategy and Commercial teams on price and promotional trading issues either with-in or across channels. Within your role you will need to cut through to the heart of issues, provide a logical and rationale channel and customer perspective as well as leading, challenging and supporting commercial teams to develop and agree the optimal plans with your customers. 

The ideal fit:

  • Experience in a Commercial Strategy / MS&P role with some previous experience in a commercial role ideally
  • Be a commercial / entrepreneurial spirit (think outside the box, think differently)
  • Experience or good understanding of Category management
  • Strong commercial capability
  • Must have resilience and tenacity
  • Experience managing a P&L is crucial
  • Preferably be degree educated or equivalent

This is a 6 month interim opportunity, with an attractive day rate on offer for the right person.
